We are the most powerful humans who have ever lived. Intelligence is becoming almost free, machines can do nearly anything we ask, and abundance should feel close.
Yet so many of us feel more scattered, more isolated, and more tired. Power raced ahead; wisdom — the part of us that knows what is worth doing — did not. That is the great mismatch of our age, and the most hopeful problem I know. The gap is ours to close.

Three decades at the meeting point of the technical and the human: Stanford, Berlin’s first grid-scale clean-energy systems, half a billion dollars mobilized for climate technology, and now a sovereign rebuild in Mexico City. I have never believed the engineer and the artist were separate people.
